Welcome to the Alpha Chapter website of Sigma Tau Gamma
at the University of Central Missouri!
Sigma Tau Gamma was established and founded nationally in Warrensburg, Missouri on June 28, 1920. As the first fraternity to be chartered at UCM, we continue to lead the Fraternity and Sorority Life community in campus development, new member education, oustanding scholarship, and public relations all by raising fraternal standards and following our six principles of value, learning, leadership, excellence, benefit, and integrity.
Sigma Tau Gamma develops its men from the time they join all the way through their personal and professional lives. Chapter members are involved in numerous on and off campus organizations. Members take pride in their leadership and presence in the Warrensburg community. Along with community and campus involvement, Sigma Tau Gamma emphasizes continued academic excellence for all of its members. Sigma Tau Gamma is proud to earn a higher grade point average than the all men’s average and all campus average.
A Historic Moment
The Alpha Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma welcomed all of the new chapter presidents from around the United States. This was the first time in history that all of the chapter presidents visited the founding chapter. The presidents were participating in the Webb Academy over the weekend to learn more about the challenges and qualities needed to lead their chapter. It was an amazing opportunity to meet all of these fellow brothers.
