The Alpha Chapter Alumni Association and undergraduate chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma would like to invite you to be our guest during Homecoming 2011 in Warrensburg. This year’s events will be an opportunity to see the upgrades to the chapter house and visit with friends new and old.

The event's include:

-Oct. 7 5:30p.m. - 2011 UCM Distinguished Alumni Award (R. Michael Webb, Class of 1967)*

- Oct. 8 9a.m. - Homecoming Parade at the National Headquarters

- Oct 8 11:30a.m. - Bar-B-Que on the front lawn of the Sigma Tau Gamma House at 708 South Holden.

- Oct 8 1:30p.m. - Mules Football Game

Easter Egg Hunt for Cans

This year Sigma Tau Gamma scheudled their annual food drive to coincide with the Easter season. Members of the chapter solicited donations all around Warrensburg. In the end Sig Taus collected and donated 537 canned and non-perishible food items for the Warrensburg food pantry.

 

Alpha Chapter White Rose is a National Finalist

Alpha Chapter's Sweetheart has been named one of three finaists for the National White Rose Queen Award.

Kara Fox is a sophomore Speech – Language Pathology Major with an overall GPA of 4.0. Kara is a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority where she serves as the Vice President of Alumni Relations. Kara is a member of the Honors College, participates in intramurals and is the Late Night Coordinator and Treasurer for GAMMA (Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol).

Alpha Chapter Hosts Inaugural Appreciation Day

This year Sig Taus invited over 100 first responders to the chapter house to give thanks. The chapter provided a complimentary BBQ and tours of the house. Members of the UCM Campus police, Warrensburg Police, and Warrensburg Fire Department all attended. The chapter is looking forward to hosting this event again in the near future.

Sigma Tau Gamma Wins Top Honors from UCM

This year at the annual All Greek Awards Ceremony the men of Alpha Chapter brought home a lot of hardware.

Additionally many brothers were given scholarship funds out of the Irwin and Ferne Graves Heritage Fund. This year the chapter's alumni have given over $10,000 in scholarship contributions to members of the chapter. Combined all the other fraternities and sororites could not match this level of support that Alpha Chapter alumni have provided.

The awards the chapter recieved at the cermeondy are listed below.

1st place-Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol (GAMMA) Gold Star award

Sig Tau Honored by Campus Sorority

This spring our Vice President of Programs, Mr. Cody McFatrich, was honored by the women of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. The ladies selected Cody as one of their 2010 Rosebuddies for his service to their sorority.

Alpha Omicron Pi is the 2010 Homecoming partners of Sigma Tau Gamma. Cody has been instrumental in building a relationship with these fantastic women.

Greek Week Round-Up

Sigma Tau Gamma once again excelled in the University sponsored Greek Week. This year the theme was Greekstock where each chapter got a genre of music to base their events off of. Sig Tau and their partners, Sigma Kappa Sorority, were given Jam Bands. Bellow is the list of awards the chapter won this year.

Tug Champions...Again

For the third year in a row Sigma Tau Gamma dominated the competition to re-claim their Greek Tug-of-War Championship.

Sig Tau opened the competion with a dominating display against Sigma Phi Epsilon, before beating Sigma Pi to reach the final. In a hard fought battle Sigma Tau Gamma showed once again why they are the team to beat in Greek Tug.

The members of the team (From front to back)-Sam Smith, Curtis Cook, Aaron Rippy, Dallas Young, Tyler Wesselmen, Patrick Sullivan, Brandon Sudbrock, and Dylan Campbell. The team was led to victory by Coach Z--Darrin Zeisler.

This year marked the chapter's thrid successive title to ensure that the traveling trophy remains in its rightful spot of honor in the chapter room.
